Project Ghana

In 2017, not.travis worked with Beauty for Freedom and Challenging Heights in Ghana on painting and mural workshops for young participants. Beauty for Freedom's program record names Travis McCann as the mural workshop instructor and, with Zephy, a facilitator of paintings on canvas and paper. The children and young people made the work; the wall carries their own marks, words and ideas alongside the artist's guidance. The program culminated in a community exhibition, and related work was shown at The Flat NYC in 2018 to support the organizations' work. Project Ghana is a collaboration with participants and local partners; the work retains their contribution.
