You Just A Tourist

You Just A Tourist is a 2021 painting by not.travis. In an archive installation view, the large panel hangs in a room beside floor-to-ceiling windows. Its surface holds violet, teal, black and rose fields crossed by white splashes and copper-colored marks. A second catalog photograph isolates the painting against white, bringing the scraped layers and drips closer. The title appears within the composition, partially interrupted by paint and distance. Those two views show the work both as a surface and at the scale of the room it occupies. The current Works ledger records its dimensions as 62 × 96 × 2.5 inches; material and availability remain unconfirmed.
